Gladiator sandals, male, leather, Dirigo, Dirigo-fashion, SS08
Feeling a bit of sweaty walking around with your feet covered in tube socks and sneakers with zero ventilation? Then a pair on ancient inspired gladiator sandals shall relinquish your feet from the discomfort of summer heat letting the little Sparta inside of you walk on a voyage towards style euphoria.

Gladiator sandals have for some time been a hot item amongst the female celeb fashion elite. So now it’s time for men to get out there on the field and battle it out with the opposite gender. More chic than bathroom flip flops tourists love wearing on trips abroad outdoors gladiator sandals are the ultimate summer footwear if made out of high quality leather with well crafted details in metal.

Walking in footwear exposing what could be gruesome feet comes with a big hygiene responsibility. Feet scare people, they touch the ground and can be very smelly not to mention make you throw breakfast up the throat. Therefore feet care is essential when sharing your toes with the rest of the world. Nobody would be delighted to see dirty feet walking all over their living room carpet. Step one is investing in a proper brush able scrubbing the feet clean as your hands. Smelly feet are easily taken care of with erhmm…deodorants for feet. If laziness is an obstacle a spray can of AXE should do the trick or any fragrance that laying around.

iluwfashion: i don't find them nice looking in any picture.

all they need is a spear and a voicebox loud enough to scream "THIS IS SPAAARRTAAAA!!!!" and the halloween costume is complete.

i much prefer the classic slipper/thong, it's like denim and i don't think it'll ever die.

I see what you're saying but I highly doubt that this is ever going to catch on to the general male population.

Raf Simons released an awesome pair of g-sandals for SS07. The only downside was it had that hideous pouch at the back. Anyways I think g-sandals can end up looking very costume-esque on guys. I guess it really depends on what you wear them with. Anyone can pull off any type of clothing/accessory (okay, most clothes/accessories) with the right ensemble. Anyways, I don't own a pair of sandals or flip-flops (more of a sneaker-all-year-round type of dude), so I don't think my opinion really matters on the subject lol.

i am defo pro gladiators for men, they are much smarter than rubbish and cheap flip flops, everyone ends up looking like baggy 90s surfers if not.

I was wondering - does that model have nail polish on? Then I realized those were two different photos.

Either way - nein. Nein, nein, nein.

I know where the sandals are from, it's a Swedish brand called dirigo and they have a webshop.
Pretty nice prices and real leather as well.
Unfortunately the summer is nearly over but I met the designers in Stockholm on a fashion fair yesterday and now when I googled their brand name I found this =)
anyway they will have them next spring/summer as well somewhat modified so I'll buy them then.

Another thing which they said that I felt was quite unique was this:
They will not use any middle man anymore meaning no stores (despite that they have some of the best in Sweden as retailers), at least not in Sweden meaning they would be able to decrease prices and only sell on the web until they opened their own store in Stockholm.
That caught my attention since that would mean great prices and still also great quality.
anyways, I'm writing too much, as always..
hope it helped those who despaired some..

btw

The homepage/shop is: www.dirigo-fashion.com

be well!
