Man of the hour, Barack Obama is holding worldwide media under siege, awaiting to be sworn in as President in less than two hours. Millions of people around the world are sitting patiently in front of their television cherishing important moment in the history of democracy.
The influence and power of Obama’s victory has left no one affected with the Obama effect rippling through to all corners of the globe. Fashion has also been touched as a group of designers have sketched formal attire that would elevate Obama’s presence at all the balls he will be attending after the inauguration.

I've been watching the inauguration, from here in New Zealand, and all I can say about it is, Wow!
As an African-American, I thought I would be an old man before I saw another African-American step into US presidency. And, here I am, a mere 46 years old, and I have seen it happen!
When I first learned that Obama has won the election I was shocked speechless. However, as I watched the inauguration, and his walk down Pennsylvania Ave., I was moved to tears.
America such a painful, bitter history in regards to race relations. Perhaps, just perhaps, such an event as the taking of office of the US Presidency, by someone of obvious African descent, signals that the country, overall, has finally started to move away from it's bitter past.
